Mastic Beach Fire Department - Signal 13/35
Monroe Drive & Neighborhood Rd. March 31, 2004 About 3:15 PM.
A Signal 24 to Mastic Fire Dept was requested for a pumper to standby at
Mastic Beach Firehouse. Chief Biondi arrived on scene and radioed to
County Control requesting a fire marshal to the scene. 6 bottles of oxygen
were removed from the house.
Willie Schluders old Knapp Estate gate house on fire.
Willie was the caretaker of Knapp Estate and the first custodian at the
firehall.
