The Mastic Beach Fire Department took part in the Memorial Day Parade hosted by the American Legion Post of Mastic Beach on Saturday May 29, 2004.
The parade started on
Neighborhood Road and Commack Road
with
placing of a wreath by Vinny Riccobono
at the Lighthouse and Monument. Color guard from the American Legion,
Mastic Beach Fire Department
and other groups were present.
Some other participants that took part in the parade were
Suffolk County Legislator Peter O'Leary, Councilman Edward Hennessey, Superintendent of Highways John Rouse
, the
William Floyd High School Band
,
William Floyd Music
,
All Faith Soccer Team
, the
Mastic Beach Ambulance Company
and many others.
The parade route went along Neighborhood Road to
The Mastic Beach Fire Department
where another wreath was placed and then continued on Neighborhood Road to the next
monument on Hemlock Drive
and after this stop the parade went on to the
cemetery on Neighborhood Road and Whittier Drive
and ended at the final wreath placing at the
American Legion Post on Mastic Beach Road and Washington Ave.
