Saturday December 27, 2003 around 7:00 P.M. the Mastic
Beach Fire Department received an alarm for a signal 23 motor vehicle accident
requesting heavy rescue.
The first on scene was Chief Bill Biondi who upon
arrival saw that heavy rescue was not needed due to the fact that the driver was
not trapped.
Next to arrive on scene was Chief Jeff McGown and
Chief Nino Pantanella of Mastic Beach Fire Department.
Chief Biondi radioed to unit 7 the heavy rescue truck
that was responding to the scene to respond signal 4.
The accident was on Whittier Drive in front of 350. It
involved a small vehicle driven by a female who it appears to have hit a

a parked vehicle at the curbside.
The female driver was taken by ambulance to the
hospital to be checked for any injuries that she might have received from the
accident.
The Mastic Ambulance Chief Mike Ryan was also on scene
to give his assistance to the medical personnel on scene.
